Peter takes a Siamese on light tackle
We have been experimenting with lighter rods and smaller reels in recent months, and we have found that a 3500 Baitrunner on a lightweight 8ft rod for carp is a real hoot. This fish was no exception, have made an initial run of some 40 meters or so, the fish then gave Peter the run around for a good 25 minutes or so, often forcing Peter to move along the fishing pontoon to try and prevent the fish swiimg behind a nearby over hanging tree. Peter played the fish with all the skill of a veteran abd got his reward in the end, his PB Giant Siamese Carp of around 30kgs! Well done Peter
