Just a year or two ago a 40kg+ Chao Praya Catfish was virtually unheard of in terms of sporting captures. Now they are becoming common place. This one, captured by Rob Smith of the UK tipped the scales at 91lb, not quite a world record, but a good fish all the same. The entry level for the world record should be 130lb+ at least judging by how many venues we know of now with 60kg+ specimens resident.
